The Making of Egg TartIngredients (Tart Crust)
250g flour
250g flour
15g milk powder
60g caster sugar
170g butter
40g beaten egg
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Ingredients (Custard Filing)
340ml water
120g caster sugar
4 eggs
50ml eveporated milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
few drops yellow colouring
Method (Tart Crust)
To make tart crust, combine flour, milk powder and caster sugar.
Rub in butter until mixture resemble bread crumbs.
Add in beaten egg, knead to forms dough.
Wrap the dough with plastic wrap, refrigerate for half an hour until ready to use.
Roll out enough of dough, place into mould
Touch some flour on both thumbs.
Press the dough and tim off edge.

Method (Custard Filling)
To make custard filling, bring water and sugar to boil, remove and leave to cool.
Whisk eggs, combine with cooled syrup and the rest of ingredients.
Lastly to adjust with yellow colouring (but I do not put this ingredient)
Bring filing through sieve, then pour into tart cases.
Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree for 18-22 minutes.
(but I bake at 180 degree for 25-30 minutes for my Oven)
